Understand the risks before you invest

A summary of the key risks to know about before you invest with Morse. We do not provide investment, financial, or tax advice.

Please read the full risk disclosures in the Avian Labs Distributed Inc. Terms of Service before you invest.

Here’s a summary of the key risks:

  1. Market risk
The value of your investment rises and falls with the underlying market. You could lose a significant portion of your money in a short period of time.

  2. No capital protection
Your money isn't covered by any deposit guarantee scheme or investor compensation fund. There's no safety net if you lose money.

  3. No guaranteed return
There is no fixed yield or minimum return. Your investments could fall in value or generate no return at all.

  4. Automated transaction risk
Trades are done automatically by code on a decentralised exchange, with no human oversight. If that code contains a bug or vulnerability, a transaction could behave unexpectedly, and we can't recover any money that's lost.

  5. Issuer and counterparty risk
Third parties issue tokens and Morse has no direct relationship with them. If an issuer can no longer operate or maintain the backing of its tokens, the value of your investments may be affected.

  6. Regulatory risk
Laws around tokenized assets are evolving fast. A regulatory change could affect the availability, value, or legality of tokens in your country.

  7. Irreversible transactions
Blockchain transactions can't be reversed and you can't undo mistakes.

  8. Liquidity risk
During periods of high volatility or low market liquidity, you may not be able to buy or sell at the desired price, or at all.

  9. Custody risk
Your tokens are held in your self-custody Morse Wallet. If you lose access to your wallet, you can't recover your money.
